Liberty Camps began in June 2022 when Ashley and Inga decided to put their imaginations — and their hearts — into creating truly unique campervan conversions. We’ve never been interested in mass-produced builds or cutting corners. For us, this is about crafting one-off spaces that feel personal, meaningful, and ready for a lifetime of adventure. We do this because we love it — plain and simple.

Ashley

Ashley grew up on the tiny island of Malta, spending his childhood leaping off cliffs into crystal-clear waters. Naturally outgoing and always drawn to beautiful places, he found himself working in hospitality before returning to his homeland of Wales in 2013. By 2022, his love for building and creating had fully taken hold, and that passion grew into what is now Liberty Camps. He’s been pouring everything he has into it ever since.

Inga

Inga comes from Lithuania, where she spent her childhood foraging with her grandmother and creating art from anything she could find. At 16, she and her twin sister moved to the UK to attend art school, eventually earning a Master’s degree in scenic art. After working in theatre, she moved on to major screen productions like Doctor Who and Young Sheldon. Even with all that experience, she still can’t help dreaming up new ideas — creativity is simply who she is.

Nanny G (Barbara)

No campervan leaves our workshop without the magic touch of our very own Nanny G. A former pattern cutter for a company supplying M&S, she has spent her whole life sewing with incredible skill and care. She’s the mastermind behind all our upholstery — and a steady, caring presence behind us all. Without her, these little homes on wheels wouldn’t be what they are.
