Liberty Camps began in June 2022 when Ashley and Inga decided to put their imaginations — and their hearts — into creating truly unique campervan conversions. We’ve never been interested in mass-produced builds or templated layouts. For us, this is about crafting one-off spaces that feel personal, meaningful, and ready for a lifetime of adventure. We do this because we love it — plain and simple.

Ashley

Ashley spent his childhood on the small island of Malta, where days were filled with exploring the coastline and diving into crystal-clear waters. A naturally adventurous spirit and a love of meeting people led him into a career in hospitality before returning home to Wales in 2013.

Over time, a passion for building, craftsmanship, and creating unique spaces began to take centre stage. In 2022, that passion became Liberty Camps, combining practical skill with a love for thoughtful design and life on the road. Since then, Ashley has dedicated himself to creating handcrafted campervan conversions that are built to inspire adventure and made to last.

Inga

Inga grew up in Lithuania, where a love of nature and creativity was nurtured from an early age. Childhood days spent foraging with her grandmother and transforming found materials into art laid the foundations for the creative journey that followed.

At 16, she and her twin sister moved to the UK to study art, eventually earning a Master's degree in Scenic Art. Her career has taken her from theatre productions to major television projects, including Doctor Who and Young Sherlock, where she honed her eye for detail, storytelling, and craftsmanship.

Today, Inga brings that same artistic vision to Liberty Camps, creating bespoke artwork, handcrafted finishes, and unique design features that give each campervan its own character. For her, creativity isn't just a profession, it's a way of life.

Nanny G (Barbara)

No campervan leaves our workshop without the magic touch of our very own Nanny G. A former pattern cutter for a company supplying M&S, she has spent her whole life sewing with incredible skill and care. She’s the mastermind behind all our upholstery — and a steady, caring presence behind us all. Without her, these little homes on wheels wouldn’t be what they are.
